Good dentistry starts with a proper look and an honest conversation. That’s how Dr. Rami Ghorab has practiced in Arlington since 2014, and it’s the reason so many of his patients stay with him for years.
He isn’t the kind of dentist who glances at your teeth, mumbles a few numbers, and leaves the room. He sits down, explains what he’s seeing, shows you on the X-ray, and answers every question before anything happens. For many patients, especially those who’ve had a bad experience somewhere else, that’s the difference.

Dr. Ghorab earned his doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from Misr University of Science and Technology in 2006. He then earned a second dental degree at Virginia Commonwealth University, one of the leading dental schools in Virginia, which grounded him in how dentistry is practiced in the United States. After dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Montefiore Medical Center in New York to further his clinical skills.
Earning two dental degrees takes years of extra study and clinical work. Dr. Ghorab chose that path because he wanted the broadest possible foundation for caring for patients of every background and every age.
Checkups, cleanings, fillings and long-term care for kids, adults and seniors.
Dr. Ghorab is trained in managing injuries like broken and knocked-out teeth, which makes a real difference in an emergency.
When a tooth can’t be saved, he’s trained to remove even difficult teeth carefully and comfortably. Learn about tooth extractions.
As a certified Invisalign® provider, he helps teens and adults straighten their teeth without metal braces.
Crowns, bridges, root canals and dental implants to repair and replace damaged or missing teeth.

Ask patients about Dr. Ghorab and you’ll hear the same few things. He checks more than just teeth, looking at gums, tongue and neck at every visit. He doesn’t rush. And he explains what he’s seeing, what your options are, and what each one costs, before anything happens.
He believes you should never feel talked into treatment. If something can wait, he’ll tell you. If there are two or three ways to fix a problem, he’ll walk you through each one, including the pros, the cons and the price, so you can choose what’s right for your health and your budget.
If you’ve been putting off the dentist because of a bad experience, he’s a good person to start over with. There’s no judgment about how long it’s been. The only goal is getting you comfortable and healthy again, one step at a time.
Dr. Ghorab volunteers his time at community dental clinics. He believes good dental care shouldn’t depend on where you live or what you earn, and he makes a point of showing up for people who might otherwise go without. He has also taken part in projects such as Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile, and in volunteer dental work abroad in Jamaica.
Dr. Ghorab is supported by a friendly team of hygienists, assistants and front-desk staff who share the same approach: be kind, be clear, and respect people’s time. Patients often mention our hygienists by name in their reviews, and our front desk will happily check your insurance, find you an appointment that fits, and answer questions before you ever sit in the chair.
RNX Dental is a clean, modern office in the heart of Shirlington with its own private entrance on the side of the building, directly across from the Shirlington bus station. You won’t need to navigate a big lobby or elevators. Parking is easy and waits are short.
Inside, you’ll find bright, comfortable treatment rooms and a team that keeps everything spotless. Patients regularly tell us how clean and well-kept the office is, and that matters to us as much as it does to you.
Your appointment starts with a conversation, not a drill. He’ll ask how your teeth feel, whether anything’s bothering you, and what you’d like to change about your smile. During the exam, he talks you through what he’s checking. Afterward, he sits down with you, shows you anything worth seeing on your X-rays, and explains your options in plain English. You’ll leave knowing exactly where you stand.
Some patients have been seeing Dr. Ghorab for most of the time he’s practiced in Arlington. When we ask why, the answers are simple: they trust him, they feel listened to, and they never feel pushed into treatment. Several have told us they switched from well-known practices in the area because Dr. Ghorab was the first dentist to do a truly complete checkup, including their gums, tongue and neck.

He earned his DDS from Misr University of Science and Technology in 2006 and a second dental degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
